Initial Consultation and Trial

This is the time when we meet with you to determine the perfect application for you. A preview is the opportunity for you to see your makeup artist’s work before your wedding. For this reason it is a good idea to devote some time to having a think about what you would like to try.

Skin consultation can be added in the bridal packages. Skin consultation is the process of analysing your skin type, skin problems including acne, eczema, checking level of aging and dehydration. Once the consulting is done we will be able to recommend the products on your budget and advise you how you can improve your skin to your wedding day.

48 hours notice must be given if you wish to miss, cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so may mean you will be charged the full cost of the appointment.

How long does a preview or trial take?

Preview usually take around 1.5-2 hours including consultation for makeup. If you are having a hair and makeup preview together, you need up to 3-4 hours including consultation, ensuring the perfect look is created and perfected for your wedding day. Within this time, it allows for the makeup artist to do only one look for hair. If you are in need of two or more styles of hair, please discuss with Jinny further in regards to duration time. Please also notify Jinny prior to the preview when making your booking if you need special product, accessories or extensions / wig.

Can I bring photos for inspiration?

Each trial includes full makeup application including false lashes so you are absolutely satisfied and achieve your desired look. Jinny suggests you bring any theme or inspiration with you to the preview to help create the same visual concept that you are dreaming of for your wedding day. This includes magazine images of makeup & hair you like, wedding dress picture, colour theme, invitation, lace, fabric, shoes, headpiece, jewellery, etc.

What should I do to prepare for my trial?
  • Hair must be washed and dried without any products
  • Clean face with putting toner, moisturizer only
  • Photos of any inspirational look you desire
  • Bring any accessories you would like to use on your wedding day
  • Arrange an area with mirror and chair (not too low one) and table where we can set all the makeup and hair products if the trial is done at your place
  • Facial deep cleansing or exfoliating is recommended 2 days prior to the preview date
Where are previews held?

Previews are held at our studio or you can request to travel to your preferred location (charge applies). The most preferable time to conduct a preview is 2-3 months prior to wedding date.
